New Hunter Valley Food Hall creates excitement and sets high tourist standard.
Visitors to the Hunter Valley and locals received a belated Christmas gift when the Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese Shop opened its new Food Hall at Tempus Two Winery on Boxing Day.
The Hunter Valley Cheese Shop has operated as a landmark tourist destination for 4 years in Pokolbin Village and the decision to set up another outlet shows confidence in the potential of Pokolbin and the Hunter Valley as a tourist destination.
Selecting the Tempus Two Winery Site for the second outlet was an easy decision according to Mr Tony Drice, Director of Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese. “The Tempus Two Winery gives us exposure to the quality end of the market and aligns us with a well recognised brand†Mr Drice said.
The Food Hall specialises in all things associated with the Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese Shop, local, Australian and International cheeses, the highly acclaimed gelato which is made on the premises, a great selection of delicatessen items and the best range of olive oils, vinegars and jams. The Food Hall has a specially designed tasting room and welcomes large groups and bus tours.
The Food Hall has extended its offering to include the Hunter Valley’s best chocolates. Made from imported Belgium chocolate and hand made into 40 assorted varieties, Adora chocolates have proved to be a crowd pleaser. The Food Hall has also linked with Merlo Coffee to deliver a refreshing new coffee sensation to the Hunter Valley. A full range of cakes are available for morning and afternoon tea.
